Irene Ann Blair, 42, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018.

Irene was born on June 4, 1976 in Bethesda, Maryland. She attended school in Germany where she was a proud Wiesbaden Warrior before moving to Perry, Georgia where she graduated from Perry High School. She was a people person who loved spending time with her family and friends. Always desiring to please others, Irene had a big heart and was willing to give you the shirt off her own back. She enjoyed fishing, listening to good music, softball, and sunflowers. However, the greatest joy in her life came from the time that she spent with her children and granddaughter. Irene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring children, Madison Turnham (Nathan) of Kathleen, Justin Purvis of Atlanta, and Lonzie Foskey of Kathleen; her granddaughter, Cali Turnham; her grandson who is still “on the way,” Wyatt Turnham; her parents, Jerry and Gabriele Becker Blair; her sister, Mona Blair; her brothers, Jessie Blair (Donna) and Johnny Blair (Suzettia); and many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation with Irene’s family will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be given to a fund benefitting Irene Blair. These funds can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with Irene Blair written in the memo line.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Irene’s arrangements.

Irene, one of my most cherished friends for a life time. We could go years without seeing each other and meet back up and pick up right where we left off. For years we almost had a telepathic relationship where one of us would feel something was wrong with the other in our hearts, and we would seek each other out and help the other wherever we were in life. It's just how we were. Oh my dear friend, I was drowning in my own sorrow, and grief trying to understand what just happened in my own life that I failed to realize you needed me the day you passed me by and said hello. I'm so sorry I failed you. My heart aches over your loss, knowing I will never be able to see yoir beautiful smile, or hear your heart laugh again, or go on one of our goofy adventures together. My life has been such a blur that I couldn't even pick my feet up some days. My heart is broken. Although we had gone our separate ways in the end, I knew If you could ever get back to the Irene I knew so many years ago, you would be alright again one day. I tried so hard to get you off of that dark, and dreadful road you kept going down , but I had to eventually pull back and let you go your own way. I love you my dear friend. I will always carry our memories in my heart, your laugh in my ears, and your smile will always warm my heart. I can just imagine you, and then I can see, hear, and feel the love you always spread with your heart, right here with me. Rest in Peace my dearest friend. One day we will meet again. Godspeed❤
